Angki Kandela, Ph.D

Dr. Kandela has spent more than fifteen years working on drug development at the interface of academia and industries. Her experience includes preclinical testing of small compounds, biologics, and devices, study protocol designs, animal model selections, creation of IACUC protocol and compliance, and project management. She worked at a Radiopharmaceutical company as Manager of the Biology Department in Madison, Wisconsin. She and her team filed seven patent applications and several INDs applications to FDA. During her tenure at Northwestern University as the Assistant Director of Developmental Therapeutics Core, she collaborated with more than 150 clients, including Academic and Company’s Principal Investigators, Professors, Post-docs, and graduate students.

Before joining Cour Pharmaceutical in July 2021, she joined a device manufacturing company, NeuroLux, as the Director of Operations. She is responsible for writing and submitting SBIR/STTR grant applications, organizing IACUC protocol, surgery suite for neuroscience-based laboratory, completing system and device manufacturing, managing collaboration with several academic collaboration and human resources aspects of the company.

Dr. Kandela received her Ph. D from the School of Pharmacy, University of Wisconsin-Madison, United States, and Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharmacist) from Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia.
