Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Planning Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a background in financial analysis, strategic planning, and a keen interest in the biotech sector. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide accurate financial insights, support decision-making processes, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Work closely with department heads to understand project/program-specific financial requirements and ensure alignment with overall company goals.

2. Financial Analysis

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, identifying trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Provide actionable insights to senior management to drive informed decision-making.

3. Variance Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, investigating and explaining variances.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategies for optimizing financial outcomes.

4. Strategic Planning

  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies to support long-term business objectives.
  • Evaluate potential investment opportunities and assess their financial viability.

5. Reporting

  • Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial metrics.
  • Ensure accuracy and transparency in financial reporting processes.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with various departments, including R&D, operations, and clinical ops, to gather relevant financial data and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Provide financial guidance and support for strategic initiatives and projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 1-3 years experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
